Gynecomastia Rancho Cucamonga
Gynecomastia is enlargement of breast tissue in the male breast. Many men will experience some range of gynecomastia during their adolescent years and puberty. Most often the growth in breast tissue will resolve on its own within two years of its appearance. The lasting presence of enlarged tissue then requires surgical intervention.
Depending on the extent of excess breast tissue and/or excess skin tissue Dr. Bennett will determine the best technique to achieve your goals. There are two primary techniques for reduction gynecomastia including liposuction, liposuction with a small areolar incision, or full excisional reduction with a scar at the infra-mammary fold.
Post-surgical compression, massage and garments are suggested. Occasionally a small drain would be needed in the immediate post surgical period to remove excess fluid.
